Skype

Introducing my newest love interest - Skype. This free VoIP (voice-over-IP) utility allows you to make free computer to computer phone calls (assuming both parties have the free Skype software). Also, free computer to mobile/landline phone calls to USA/Canada telephones. You can make computer-to-regular-phone calls to non-US/Canada numbers as well, but you have to buy one of their phone card type thingies. You'll have to do that (I think) at the end of the year for those USA/Canada phone calls that you're a-hankering to get started on too. The EULA said something about not using the service for emergency calls (yes...i actually skimmed through the EULA. And the Privacy Statement. Whatever), but other than that...yo...BANGIN'. p.s. - Oh, and 'pparently on the weekend of July 29th thru 31st (i.e. this weekend) they're giving away free calls to Japan. Anybody know anybody in Japan I can call? :). No seriously.

And yes, there's a ridiculous number of "free"s in this post. Just the way I like it. I'll let you know how the two of us work out.

Had boil dumpling and tin mackerel for lunch today. very proud of myself :)


went outside in the sun hot....sat under a shade tree. tin mackerel, boil dumpling, an apple and a whole lot of water. ate slowly. thought about nothing in particular. except maybe about how good the sun felt on my skin. jus' chilled. with a lunch that tasted like jamaica. perfection.
