When it rains it pours!

Man. It has rained so thoroughly over the past week or so that I...I....dag my mildew was starting to mildew. Well it would have, you know if I had any. If I'd been more progressive than I am I'da taken some photos of thunderburst after thunderburst and posted them on here raindrops exploding out onto your screen in a vague reflection of what was going on here. Man, I hope you understood that sentence, because I'm not going to retype it. Straight. :)

Yow, we had SUN today. Like, almost all day. I saw dry road for the first time in days this evening. The Bog Walk Gorge re-opened. The dove returned to Noah with it's little ackee twig. 'Twas a good day man.

Here's to another one tomorrow just like it. And may God hold at bay all the mosquitos that I know were breeding during that time of wetness.

I found out that we were going to get rain sometime mid-last week when I came home to about 2 zillion rain flies in the kitchen. I knew then that some rain was afoot - but mercy! Mercy! Mercy!

Wow normally I say that rain is gods way of cleansing the earth, but it seems like he went a little bit beyond just cleansing where you're at!! :0) Hope you enjoyed your day of sun though.

That was a pretty good dose of rain. Does it normally rain a lot during the summers there?

Going to do research on rain flies now.

@Mel: I don't remember exactly, but I'm confident that I did enjoy my day of sun :). The sunny days have returned in full force now though.

@D: Between about July and November is our rainy season, but that stretch back in June was truly epic, definitely more than normal. It calmed down as the year progressed though, so all in all I think we've had a good season. A good amount of rain, but not too much (overall) and not too much sun. No hurricanes, no tropical storms...(although we're still in hurricane season, so I guess there's still time). That's my definition of a good weather year.
